Weekly Newsletter

Well, here are at 4th of July weekend. I was just saying to my neighbor this morning while walking PJ and Luna that we went straight from Easter Sunday to July 4th weekend. Where does the time go?

Well hopefully you are enjoying this weekend with your family and friends. A cookout maybe, a walk on the boardwalk or a day at the beach. Enjoy it, summer is finally here!!!

I know quite a few folks out there are on insulin and were happy that insulin was capped at $35 but we had some copay issues with it thus far this year. I have attached the CMS (Medicare) FAQ page so we can all refer to it when questions come up. Here is the link Medicare Insulin FAQ Page

I found this article very interesting. I believe this is a testament to the MAPD carrier's efforts in preventative healthcare. https://www.fiercehealthcare.com/payers/medicare-advantage-beats-traditional-medicare-important-categories-report

Here is an article I found talking about the lowered costs for Part D plans going into 2024 https://www.beckerspayer.com/payer/hhs-medicare-part-d-enrollees-will-save-400-on-average-in-2025.html

For my savvy shoppers out there or anyone looking for a deal on dining and other local places, here is a link to score some nice deals for things ranging from dinner to a car wash.

If you know anyone who is new in your neighborhood and is Medicare eligible, give them my number and have them give me a call. They may have a Special Election Period and may be eligible to switch their Medicare plan.

Please feel free to forward this newsletter to any of your friends or loved ones on Medicare if you think it may help them or inform them. I thank you in advance.

Weekly Newsletter

Welcome to both summer and my first newsletter. Well, we are through Memorial Day and into summer. Hopefully you have had a chance to get out and make it to the boardwalk for that first sausage sandwich of the summer (yum). Warmer weather is upon us and now it is time for cookouts, BBQ's and get togethers with family and friends....hooray summer!!!!

Most of your doctors have already told you to keep active, keep moving and keep healthy. To help you with that goal, I have attached this article with some handy tips on health, fitness and nutrition. Personally I am a big fan of this concept. I have always tried to stay active be it doing Ironman triathlons, training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or a round of golf with friends....keeping active has been a consistent part of my life.

For my Braven clients, the blog at Braven's website has a pretty good article explaining the difference between Admission and Observation, you can see it here

The Federal Government has announced a cut to the Medicaid rolls. If you are a dual eligible member (Medicare/Medicaid) we may need to sit down to chat about your options if you are receiving letters and phone calls about losing your coverage.

For my savvy shoppers out there or anyone looking for a deal on dining and other local places, here is a link to score some nice deals for things ranging from dinner to a car wash.
